What Happens in a Lesson
Every lesson is practical, structured, and tailored to your goals.
A typical lesson includes.
• Reviewing the previous week's practice
• Solving any technical issues you're struggling with
• Learning new material or concepts
• Building a clear practice plan for the week ahead
The goal is not just to teach songs, but to help you understand how to improve between lessons.
Most students notice clear improvement in their playing within a few weeks once they follow a structured practice plan.
Who Am I?

Hi, I’m Ally — a guitarist, producer, and music educator with over 23 years of playing experience and 12 years of teaching students at every level.

I teach guitar, bass, music production, and live production for children and adults. My focus is building strong fundamentals, confidence, and a clear path forward—so students don’t just improve during lessons, they learn how to keep improving on their own. Each lesson gives you practical tools, a plan for the week, and the understanding to solve problems independently.

My Teaching Philosophy

I don’t want students who rely on me forever — I want students who grow confident enough that they eventually won’t need me at all.
I’ve taught complete beginners, hobbyists, experienced players, and players who’ve gone on to write, record, and perform their own music. Whether you’re learning guitar, bass, or taking your first steps into music production, my lessons are tailored to your goals, musical taste, and learning style.

What I Bring to Your Learning

My background spans film composition, live musical direction, studio production, mixing, and years of stage experience and I bring all of that into how I teach. Lessons aren’t just about playing the right notes; they’re about understanding the bigger picture of music, creativity, and the skills that make you a capable, independent artist.
If you want to learn with intention, build real musical confidence, and become the kind of musician who can grow long after the lesson ends — I’d love to work with you.
WHAT PEOPLE SAY

Ryan P (Adult)
I started lessons as a complete beginner and was honestly nervous, but the lessons are relaxed, encouraging, and really well structured. I was playing a song way sooner than I expected, and I actually understand why I’m playing what I’m playing. Highly recommend for beginners.

Rachel S (Student)
What I really appreciate is learning how to practice and learn on my own, not just what to play. The focus on independence has helped me make progress between lessons instead of feeling stuck.

Orla A (Parent)
As a parent, I really appreciate the supportive and patient approach. My child feels comfortable asking questions and is learning at a pace that suits them. The focus on understanding and independence has made a big difference.
